Augšējais stiprinājuma punkts ir kustīgs, tas atvieglo virves izdošanu vai kāpšanas partnera nolaišanu. Vienlaicīgi var drošināt divus cilvēkus ar dubultajām virvēm. Tam ir speciālas rievas, lai palielinātu berzi, tādējādi tas ir īpaši piemērots drošināšanai ar īpaši tievām virvēm. To ir ļoti ērti izmantot arī kā nolaišanās ierīci. Pivot ir ideāla ierīce modernam kāpējam gan klinšu kāpšanā, gan arī alpīnajos maršrutos. Ieteicams lietot kopā ar DMM Rhino karabīni.
