Pateicoties 'asistētajai' bremzēšanas sistēmai, kritiena gadījumā doršinātājs tur bremzējošo virves pusi, izcilnis griežas un saspiež virvi, palielinot bremzēšanu, līdz virve pārstāj slīdēt. Grigri dizains pieļauj lielisku nolaišanās kontroli - viena roka tur virvi, bet otra izmanto rokturi, lai atbloķētu izcilni. Piemērota lietošanai ar 8.5 līdz 11 mm dinamiskajām pamatvirvēm (optimizēts 9.9 mm līdz 10.5 mm virvēm). Šī ierīce ir kompakta un viegla. Uz ierīces iegravētas diagrammas par virves ievietošanu.
